Our Farm

Bridge House Farm Ltd  is located in the heart of Northamptonshire in the hamlet of Murcott next to the village of Long Buckby.

The farm was originally purchased from the Spencer family in the 1930's and has been in the Thompson family ever since.

The business has always been diverse having been in cattle, sheep, poultry, pigs and arable over the years. The late Jennifer Thompson was key to the farms entrance into poultry in the 1950's as she established a then state of the art poultry set up. Some of those buildings are still in use today!

The pig business was established in 1987 and has grown from a 300 sow unit initially. It was purpose built as a high health pig unit due to the low pig density of the area and its central location. Alongside various breeding companies the farm has produced high value breeding stock ever since. Some of which have gone all over the world.

The arable business has worked extremely efficiently over the years and works symbiotically alongside the livestock enterprises. Using modern farming techniques we have managed to continue to improve the land we own and others we look after. Keith's progressive approach to soil management has been central to the long term future of the land we oversee.
